On the 13th of March, I was privileged to be a part of a fund raiser for the St Luke’s hospital’s charity at the Methodist Girls’ School (MGS). It felt really good to be back in school; what I miss most about it in general is the energy and enthusiasm. To the graduating class, you have your whole life ahead of you, remember to keep pursuing your dreams!

Meanwhile, just a short clip from last week’s gig at Plaza Singapura:
I am REALLY excited to be playing at Starbucks stores all over the island; what could get better than playing music I love with my friends @ my favourite hangouts, with the smell of fresh brewed coffee in the air! A HUGE thank you to Starbucks for making this happen and making available “State of my mind” in its stores, thank you for giving back to the music scene!
So do come chill and hang out with us at the following dates. Would love to meet and talk to you guys!
Hey guys! Updates on the website; pics and vids from the Esplanade Performances, Haiti Haiti Concert and my lil feature on Hot Magazine =)
Am in Japan right now and this is something I wrote yesterday that I’d like to share with you guys;
“….snowing, next to a loved one, jazz music in the background, cup of hot cafe latte with caramel at Starbucks, looking at people by the window scribbling and sketching on their not-so-new notebooks, watching people jostle and make their way at the Shibuya crossing….could not help but wonder how many of those million steps were a rush to a loved one(s), strides made in haste or panic, the occassional rare indifferent slow steps of a desolate homless figure….the beauty of it is not having to make sense out of all this, but just being able to experience it all over again…”
Hi guys! Been really busy with the esplanade gigs recently and I’ll be updating you guys on a host of stuff end of this month.
Till then, do join us on the 30th Jan 2010 to help raise funds for World Vision for those affected by the Haiti Earthquake…although most of us are unable to go there, let’s do our part to give and enable those on the ground to save and rebuild lives.
Having said that, I know that $$ is not just pieces of paper but a representation of our lives; time, work, sacrifice. Hence, every single dollar is truly appreciated and 100% of proceeds will go to World Vision: www.worldvision.org.sg
Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
Jon
p.s. if you would like to contribute but are unable to attend, pls drop me an email and I will direct it to the relevant parties.
